Breaking Barriers Learning welcomes people who want to give time, skill and care to the community. We are also looking for sessional qualified teachers and lecturers to support Maths, English and ESOL learners online and centre based.
Volunteer with us

Volunteers can help create welcoming sessions, support community activities, encourage learners and make trips and clubs feel safe, organised and inclusive.

Sessional roles
Qualified teachers and lecturers.
We are interested in hearing from sessional qualified teachers and lecturers who can deliver supportive Maths, English and ESOL sessions for adults and young people.

Maths sessions
Support learners to build confidence with essential numeracy, everyday maths and qualification pathways.

English sessions
Help learners strengthen reading, writing, communication and functional skills in a calm, encouraging setting.

ESOL sessions
Deliver inclusive English language support for learners developing communication skills for life, work and study.

Online or centre based
Sessional delivery may take place online or in centre-based community settings, depending on learner need and project planning.
